About me

I am originally from Saginaw, Michigan and currently reside in East Lansing, Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Education in Kinesiology (Sports Administration). I have finished my master’s degree at MSU in the College of Education during the summer semester of 2015. My free time mostly consists of camping, fishing, hanging with friends/family, and either watching or participating in as many sporting events as possible.

Professional

I work for Michigan State Athletics and have just completed my first year as Sports Operations Coordinator. I work within the Sports Management Unit that oversees all 25 sports at MSU. Prior to working with the Sports Management Unit, I was in a variety of different positions that include:

  • Director of Volleyball Operations – MSU (2012-2014)

  • Spartan Ticket Office Intern – MSU (2011-2012)

  • Director of Softball Operations – MSU (2010-2011)

  • Men’s Basketball Manager – MSU (2007-2010)

  • Women’s Basketball Manager – MSU (2006-2007)

My career plan is to work within athletics. I want to teach, mentor and grow student-athletes into well rounded individuals within their sport and as a person. Helping build quality individuals through education and sport will benefit all student-athletes for life after athletics.

Educational

Personal

My Education background has been a stepping stone to help teach, lead, and mentor incoming student-athletes within higher education.  My ability to relate educational philosophies of the classroom to athletic philosophies on the playing field and vice versa, will help student-athletes transition into becoming the best people they can be.
